quotes

The essential thing for us to understand in sharing this information is to be humble. What I am saying is as individuals, and as an organization, we will survive and fulfill our purpose if we act compassionately to others as well as to animals, and move steadily, growing in strength, spreading the message, that, once truly understood, can not be denied.
— Glen McLean, VOA Founder

       Join meatout this March

Take the Meat-Out Challenge for the month of March!  Participants are asked to kick the meat habit and explore a wholesome, nonviolent diet of fruits, vegetables and whole grains.

The purpose of Meat-Out Month is to expose the public to the joys and benefits of a plant-based diet, while promoting the availability and selection alternatives to meat and dairy in mainstream grocery stores, restaurants, and catering operations.

Meat-Out was launched in 1985 and is coordinated each year by FARM (Farm Animal Rights Movement), a national nonprofit, public interest organization that advocates plant-based (vegan) diets to save animals, protect the environment, and improve health.

Meat-Out Month is also associated with Meat-Out Mondays, which encourages a weekly meat-free day.
